Dance AS Family
Analeah Stamps
Analeah Stamps is the Co-Owner, Artistic Director, and Head of the Senior Division at Dance AS Dance Academy. With over 30 years of professional, teaching, and choreographic experience, she leads with both artistry and vision.
She holds a BFA in Dance from Wright State University and has performed with ballet and contemporary companies across the country. Her choreography has been featured nationally and internationally, with works presented at festivals in China, Germany, and throughout the United States. Analeah has also served as Artist in Residence in Kentucky, taught as an adjunct professor of dance at Creighton University, and choreographed for professional companies and schools nationwide.
Her students have been accepted into top programs and intensives, including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, School of American Ballet, Debbie Allen Dance Academy, Joffrey Ballet, and university dance and theatre programs at James Madison University, The University of the Arts, Point Park University, Oklahoma University, and more.
Analeah is currently pursuing her Master of Arts Management at the University of Massachusetts–Amherst and has also begun her doctorate in Arts Administration and Cultural Development. She is passionate about creating a space where every dancer can grow in confidence, artistry, and community.
Kelly Delaune - Contemporary
Kelly holds a BFA in Dance Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi. Throughout her years at college, Kelly performed with the university company and dance team. She has been both a teaching assistant and lead teacher in dance settings. She has experience in human resources, finance, and event planning. Kelly has also worked as a teaching assistant in public education, working with gifted students and special needs students.
Quinton Nelson - Hip Hop
Mr. Q began dancing at the age of 5 and has been dancing ever since. While at Norfolk State University, he trained at the Evelyn Ott School of Dance extensively in Hip-Hop and Jazz. Quinton was a loyal member of the NSU Dance Theatre. He was also the Founder/Choreographer and Captain of NSU’s Elite Hip Hop Dance Team, Xclusive. Under his leadership, the team attended and won numerous Hip-Hop dance competitions along the east coast. He has been a dance teacher in Northern Virginia since 2012.
Dominique Thomas - Jazz, African
Dominique has a BFA in Dance from Temple University. In 2007 she was accepted into the City Dance Theatre Junior Company in Richmond, Virginia where she was trained in Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, African, and Ballet and had the privilege of holding a leading role in their 2009 performance circuit. Dominique has also trained with the Richmond Ballet, Philadanco, and The Dance Institute of Washington. Dominique’s choreography has won awards at various competitions as she has taught at various studios and schools for the past 10 years.
Cassidy Stamps - Tiny Steps Together, Demi Dancer, Ballet
Cassidy began teaching in 2019 after spending more than five years as an assistant teacher and substitute in ballet, tap, hip hop, and jazz. After taking a break during the pandemic, she recently returned to subbing and is thrilled to now have her own classes in the studio again. In addition to her passion for dance, Cassidy is also working toward her teaching degree at Western Governors University with a focus in Early Childhood Education, where she is deepening her knowledge of child development and learning. She’s excited to combine her love for dance with her growing expertise in education to create positive, engaging experiences for every student she works with.
Carly Arrington - Tap
Carly began dancing at the age of eight and is trained in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Contemporary, and Jazz. She has performed in the halftime shows of multiple College Bowl Games as well as the National Cherry Blossom Parade. Carly studied at Christopher Newport University, where she performed in the annual dance concert and choreographed routines for her sorority’s campus fundraising events. With experience both performing and teaching, Carly now balances her career as an elementary school teacher with her passion for dance. Recently becoming a mom herself, she is excited to share her love of dance and movement with other mothers and their little ones!
Quincee Stamps
Quincee is a dancer, choreographer, and actor. She is currently pursuing a Theater major and a Dance minor at JMU, where she has choreographed and performed with the Dancing Dukes. She has 17 years of experience in a range of genres, such as jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, hip-hop, and more. She graduated from the theater CFPA program at Colgan High School and has received training from The Broadway Collective as well as summer intensives at Debbie Allen Dance Academy.
Classroom Assistant Program
We have three levels of volunteer opportunities for Classroom Assistants based upon their level, experience assisting, demonstrated commitment, and long term goals.
Demonstrator
Demonstrator requirements are:
- No cell phone use during class
- Abide by the dress code while demonstrating
- Model classroom etiquette and assist with maintaining it amongst the students
- Set the example and know warm-ups and combinations; demonstrate expected behavior
- Demonstrate combinations in class with proper technique and performance value
- Observe and build knowledge in how classes are structured
Student Assistant
Student Assistant requirements are:

- Model inclusive behavior; notice unkind/unhelpful behavior and communicate it to the teacher (do not correct without permission)
- Understand technique and identify needed corrections; occasionally giving corrections with permission and correct wording
- Observe and understand various teaching techniques
Teacher Assistant
Teacher Assistant requirements are:
The above AND
- Give gentle corrections as needed
- Occasionally choreograph simple combinations to teach
- Be well- versed in dance terminology
- Be able to explain the ‘how to’ and ‘why’ for movements
- Be able to take over a class for a short period if the teacher needs to step out
